The Crossings

Red Sea Crossing vs River Jordan Crossing

The difference in crossing the red sea at salvation and into the wilderness vs crossing the Jordan river and into the land.  Is the difference between  Pentecost and Tabernacles.  The red sea crossing is about what we are leaving behind and the Jordan crossing is about what we are come to.
The Red Sea crossing is for us and the Jordon crossing is the Christ life poured out for others.

Red Sea – killed the devil our perpetual enemy
Jordan – Rolled back the waters all the way to adam revealing the New Man “Christ”

Red Sea – There was a staff in the hand of Moses (one man) to miraculously deliver them in time of crisis.
Jordan – The Priests (a company of priests) bore the ark of the covenant on their shoulders as the presence and power of God was with them continually.

Red Sea – From individual mindset
Jordan – Corporate Mindset

Red Sea – coming out
Jordan – going in

Red Sea – feet shod (shoes on)
Jordan – barefoot ( nothing stands between you and Him)

Red Sea – gathered ingredients to make the Tabernacle of Moses
Jordan – gathered 12 stones of remembrance for altar of worship.

Red Sea – baptism signifying  a cleansing of sin and burial of the old man and adam (old things are passed away)
Jordan – baptism into Christ and an immersion into a new way of life fully consumed with Him as you become what you are immersed into. Wholly identifying with Him (behold all things are new)
