What you don’t know can hurt you!

I asked my facebook friends a question…..What does redemption mean?  This is my reply.

It seems to be that the most common mindset that prevails among God’s people concerning “REDEMPTION” is that it simply means I am saved from hell in the future and only if I don’t sin anymore between now and then. So we go about to do the best we can to keep the law and hold together some form of Christianity on our own til He comes back and rescues us from this awful earth that He created for His pleasure. This is a very fall short mindset but yet it is prevalent and a very real reality for some Christians.  The truth of the matter is this…….The purpose of REDEMPTION is to bring us out of Egypt, the sin nature and bring us into Christ where He replaces that old nature of sin with His very own nature CHRIST….so now it is Christ in us and us in Christ.  Now that the great exchange has occurred we are new creatures in Christ Jesus….FOREVER!  He trashed to old you adam and permanently deleted his existence and erased his identity and gave you a new one since his death.   Redemption is the restoration of all that was lost because of the fall and raising you to a whole new place in God where “ALL THINGS ARE NEW.”  No more hand me downs of the adam family you now have a new family tree, you are a fruit of CHRIST ready for the picking….you are somebodys bread.  Now that you are redeemed hell is not an option for you and heaven is a present reality. It is not a wait til we die thing.  You have already died on the cross with him.  So welcome to life after death and it is a great one.  Now that we are redeemed from sin, poverty sickness and death and have been transformed and completely new….what now?  Glad that you asked…lol  The purpose of your redemption was to restore you to His original intention and to raise you up to rule the earth.  Redemption secured your future and delivered you so you can deliver others.  The purpose of redemption is not about you and your sinfulness it is about Him and His purpose. He set you free to free others.  Give it away!  The purpose of redemption is dominion and the purpose for dominion is the earth.  You were created to rule don’t fight it embrace it….you are now the land that FLOWS with milk and honey.  Export the good and see the import of the nations of the earth into the Kingdom of God!
